Today, I woke up later than usual...and still wasn't ready to get up. The calender, and my text inbox, says it is Mother's Day, but I knew it would not be an extraordinary day. Not trying to be negative, but life doesn't always stop for special calender days: loads of dirty laundry to wash & clean laundry to fold, a kitchen that will not stay clean, a husband with a video project due the next day, college finals to prepare for, and so much more.
That all overlooked, I love Mother's Day! I feel privileged to be a mother...especially one of two beautiful and smart kiddos! I am fortunate to have my mother still alive...although we live hundreds of miles apart. My husband and I waited to have kids, and I never thought I would want children until I met him...it's been the best life-changing event so far!
Blessed be the mothers, for they shall never rest!

My mom and my kiddos!
